1) Resume

This is the most important step in your new job search. You have to create 2-3 separate Resumes in your portfolio. Resumes are what get you in the door. Without getting in the door, you don't stand a chance of getting hired. Download a RESUME TEMPLATE! This is common sense and yet many times it goes undone. It is already formatted and touched up to the point that all you have to do is fill in the blanks.

Resumes need to be 1 page maximum and the content should contain only the essentials and most important pieces of information. Your Resume should show that you are honest, hard-working and reliable, punctual and ready to quickly learn new skills. You should have an amazing ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds and are willing to do whatever is needed to bring benefit to your new company.  Resumes should show consistency.

For example; Do not show that you have had 15 jobs in the last 3 years. No one wants to hire someone who shows instability. Do not put irrelevant information on your Resume! If you are applying for a Customer Service position, do not put "Dog Walker" as past employment! Use common sense. You should have no more than 3 past jobs on your resume. 2) Affirmations

We are what we talk about. Who knew! Affirmations are sentences that you say every day that improve your confidence, self-worth, character and ability to succeed. Affirmations make their way into your subconscious. Lots of people fail in their interviews because they don't feel they have what it takes to do what the company is asking of them. Affirmations said 2x a day every day for 30 days will transform you into a new person, ready to work any job with complete confidence! We can help you create custom, tailor-made affirmations for your specific challenges and areas of needed strengthening. Affirmations will transform your weaknesses into strengths in a matter of weeks.

3) Persistance

The average job seeker applies for a job 2 times a week! That will never get you the work you want and need! You must send between 10 and 12 resumes a day if you want to find work! The more you send, the more you increase your chances of finding work. You should never stop applying for jobs until you have 5-7 job offers in your hand. Only when you have several contracts in hand can you stop applying for new positions. The key to remember is, "The more Resumes you send, the more chances you have to succeed in getting an interview."

Once you have made your decision, STICK TO IT! Dont get stuck on the idea that maybe there is something better for you out there. Give your new job at least 3 to 6 months to acclimate yourself.

No matter what new work you have signed a contract for, make sure to have the mentality that it is only the beginning and that you have no idea what wonderful and awesome opportunities await you. For example; Bonuses, Promotions, Paid Vacations and much more! Always keep in mind that the decision you made to work in the new company that hired you was the best decision you have ever made. This will create the energy and understanding within yourself to enjoy every day of your new job.
